It's natural! It's healthy! It's loaded with fiber and cancer-fighting antioxidants! Yes, fruit is good for you, but there are certain important factors that you should know before taking a bite. 90% of people eating fruits in wrong ways.
Here are some common mistakes:
1. You're not eating the skin.
2. You're always drinking your fruit.
3. Eating fruit at night or after meals.
4. You're not buying seasonal fruits from local market; e.g., you are spending a lot on exotic fruits. 
5. You think all fruits are equal but it is not true some fruits are healthier than others.

TIPS TO EATING FRUITS IN A RIGHT WAY
When should I eat fruits?
(6 am to 12 pm is considered as the best time)
  • The best time to eat fruits is first thing in the morning after a glass of water. Eating fruits right after a meal is not a great idea, as it may not be digested properly. The nutrients may not be absorbed properly either. You need to leave a gap of at least 30 minutes between a meal and a fruit snack. Ideally, one should eat fruits an hour before the meal or two hours after, if they have diabetes or any other digestive problem like acidity. This is because, sometimes, diabetes is accompanied with digestive problems.
How to eat fruits?
(Always try to have whole fruit)
  • Eat whole fruit to get the maximum health benefits. Fibre helps a lot.
  • Avoid juices, heat generated from the juicer may destroy nutrients. So good to have the whole fruit.
  • You can drink juice sometimes, make sure it is freshly made just before drinking. Do not ever consume heated juice or canned juice. Strictly avoid packed or canned juices.
  • Most of us don’t enjoy eating the peel but it's actually the best part when it comes to vitamins and antioxidants. Yes, you read that right peels of fruits such as apples are packed with fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin A.  According to a research eating a fruit along with the skin may help reduce the risk for obesity and cancer.
  • You can mix fruit with yogurt or salt as long as you do not have any digestive problems like indigestion or acidity. You can also mix fruits like pineapple, oranges, melons or pomegranate with salads if you like. There is no harm in mixing berries and dry fruits with cereals either.

What are the best fruit to eat?

  • Eat completely ripe fruits and the most important eat seasonal fruits, do not spend money on exotic fruits. Try to purchase fresh and seasonal fruits from the local marked instead of malls or supermarkets.
  • Apple, pear, pineapple, guava, papaya and orange etc. can be eaten in daily. It's loaded with lots of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber may reduce the risk of disease and improve digestion.
